Vikram Pandit, CEO of Citigroup, said in an interview on February 4 that Citigroup China and its long-term business growth is essential to the whole group, and Citigroup will continuously increase its investment in China.
China Banking Regulatory Commission recently approved Citibank to open a new branch in Guiyang, China. Pandit said that this is the realization of Citigroup’s continuous expanding plan in China. In addition, Citigroup will develop its business in all areas in China in the future.
