MOFCOM to Adopt Six Big Measures to Transform the Export Growth Mode of Mechanical and Electrical Products

Jiang Yaoping, vice minister of the Minister of Commerce (MOFCOM), stated on February 2 that in 2009, the export rate of Chinese mechanical and electrical and high-tech products rebounded, with the export decline degrees of the year 2.6 and 6.7 percentage points lower than that of the national foreign trade respectively, both realizing positive growth of export for 2 months in a row, being the important force to have driven foreign trade export steadily recovering.


Director of the Department of Mechanic, Electronic and Hi-tech Industry of MOFCOM Zhang Ji said at the National Commercial Working Conference about Electromechanical Science and Technology that the MOFCOM will adopt six big measures in 2010 in an effort to boost the import and export of mechanic, electronic and hi-tech products to realize the development target of “guarantee market share, adjust structure and promote balance”.


Firstly, stabilize the exiting policy to boost the steady development of the export of mechanic, electronic and hi-tech products.


Secondly, consolidate the carrier of adjusting structure to pragmatically promote structural adjustment.


Thirdly, implement positive import strategy to enhance independent innovation capability.

 

Fourthly, stabilize processing trade policy to steadily carry out the upgrading.


Fifthly, strengthen export management and control to maintain economic interests and industrial security. And


Sixthly, enhance strategic research to do well the development planning for the export of mechanic, electronic and hi-tech products.
