According to the statistics of foreign trade released by Brazilian Development, Industry and Foreign Trade Ministry on February 1, the bilateral trade between Brazil and China continued to grow substantially in January this year. In January, Brazil’s exports amounted to USD11.305b, increasing by about 21% year-on-year; of which, the exports to China reached USD1.127b, with an increase of 60.3% year-on-year. Brazil’s exports to China are mainly iron ore, crude oil, copper ore and paper pulp.
At the same time, Brazil’s imports amounted to USD11.471b, with an increase of about 17% year-on-year; of which, the imports from China totaled in USD1.606b, increasing by 25.1% year-on-year.
