1.Brief Introduction It is established with the joint investment by several shareholders such as Shanghai Municipal Government,Shangahi Zijiang Group,Shangahi Alliance Investment Company and Shanghai Jiaotong University Integrating strong research ability,rich human resource,capital fund and industrial advantages,run by market mechanism,Zizhu Science Park is planned to become a new type science park.In 2003,it is listed as the municipal-level hi-tech industrial development zone and in March 2003,it passed the verification and approval of provincial-level development zones by the State Development and Reform Commission. The Zizhu Science-based Industrial Park consists of three main areas-the university campus region,the research region and the Pujiang Forest Peninsula region.The planning drew the construction experience and design concept of the world famous science parks such as Silicon Valley Science Park in the USA,Sophia Antipolis Science Park in France and Hsin-Chu Science Park in Taiwan,with emphasis on the harmonious union of human being and nature and of work and life.It also passed the certification of quality management system ISO9001 and environmental management system ISO14001.
