1.Brief Introduction Shanghai Minhang Export Processing Zone was established on March 10,2003 with the approval of the State Council.It is located within Shanghai Comprehensive Industry Development Zone,adjacent to the south of Nanqiao New City. 2.Location Advantages With its east at West Ring Road,its west at Zhugang,its south at Fengpu Avenue and its north at Daye Road,Shanghai Minhang Export Processing Zone is linked to the national road network through several main road trunk lines,enjoying a convenient transportation.A4 Highway on the east side of the Processing Zone runs northwards through Fengpu Bridge to reach the city center,Hongqiao International Airport and Shanghai Railway Station,which is also linked to Huhang Highway,Huning Highway and Hujia Highway running southwards through A30 Highway;on the east it is connected with Yangshan Deepwater Port and on the west,it is connected with Shanghai Chemical Industry Zone,Shanghai Petro-Chemical City.Huhang Highway connects the zone to Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces;eastwards,along A4 Highway and Daye Highway the Pudong International Airport can be reached.All within half-hour drive. 3.Industry Orientation Key industries to be developed are hi-tech industries with mechanic and electric information,optical mechanic and electric industry and precision mechanic industry as the leading ones. 4.Land Shanghai Minhang Export Processing Zone has a planned area of 3 sqkm with the first phase covering 2 sq.km,the relevant infrastructure and supporting facilities of which have been completed,and after being inspected and examined by the 8 departments of the State Council on November 23,2003,it is put into close operation officially. 5.Infrastructure (1)Water: The water is supplied by two water plants with a daily supply capacity of 300,000 ton. (2)Power: There are three 39KV transformer substations in the zone with a supply capacity of 120,000 KV/day.There is also the largest 500KV ac/dc transformer station in the zone. (3)Waste water: The waste water south drainage project with an investment of RMB 200 million is built in the zone with a daily drainage capacity of 100,000 tons to solve the difficult drainage problem of the large enterprises which produce large volume of waste water. (4)The rain water drainage: The rain water is drained through underground pipes,which have a caliber of Ø450-2000mm.(calculated according to the heavy storm which happens once a hundred year,the longest seeping time≤min) (5)Road: The roads already completed reach the length of 36km,all the roads are superior urban roads with 4 fast lanes and 2 slow lanes.
