1.Brief Introduction The Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park was established in July of 1992 located in the middle of Pudong New Area with a planned area of 25 square kilometers consisting of different functional areas such as Technological Innovation Area.Hi-Tech Industry Area,Scientific Research and Education Area and Residential area. In the August of 1999 Shanghai Municipal Government issued the "Focus on Zhangjiang" strategic policy to identify integrated circuits, software and bio-medicine as its leading industries to play a leading role in innovation and developing entrepreneurship.After 15 years of development, the Park has established a framework for biopharmaceutical industry and information industry chain and innovation chain. A number of national industry bases including Shanghai National Biopharmaceutical Industry Base,National Information Industry Base,National Integrated Circuit Industry Base,Semiconductor Lighting Industrial Base, National 863 Project China Eastern Information Security Industry Park(CEISIP), National Software Industry Base,National Software Export Base,National Culture Industry Example Base,and National Network Game and Animation Industry Base have been established at the Park so far.In respect of scientific innovation the Park is equipped with incubators of various modes and types and has national incubators and national pioneering park for overseas Chinese students and scholars established here.A number of new economy based enterprises in the Park have made great progress. 2.Location Advantages (1)Road Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park is connected to inner ring road,3.6km away from Nanpu Bridge and 13km away from the People's Square,9km away from the Bund business area;and there's direct access to the airport,harbor,railway station and commercial center via the urban traffic trunk lines.Longdong Avenue at the northern park is the key road connecting inner ring road and Shanghai Pudong International Airport,and Luonan Avenue at Western Park is the trunk line connecting inner ting road and outer ring road. (5)Subway Subway Line.2 extends from Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport via Zhangjiang to Shanghai Pudong International Airport.Subway No.2 Phase 1 extends from Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park to Zhongshan Park,passing Century Park,Dongfang Road,Lujiazui,Nanjin Road,people's Square,Jingan Temple,and comes across with Subway Line.1 at People's Square.At Zhongshan Park,you may transfer to the Line3and 4.Subways make it quite convenient and comfortable for the people in the Park to travel throughout the city. 3.Industries After the exploration of the previous 7 years and the later 6 years of "Focusing on Zhangjiang"strategy,3 leading industries of IC,biopharmaceutical and software in the area of IT and BT have been cultivated and developed in Zhangjiang,and the four relevant industries of cultural and technological creation,financial information service(bank cards),light-electric and information security have also been developed and built. 4.Land The land already developed covers an area of 17 square kilometers and an area of 4.86 square kilometers is to be developed.The price for the land is set according to the requirement of Pudong New Area for the bidding and auction of industrial land and the requirement on the investment density. 5.Infrastructure Power The East China Power Grid supplies power in the Park.The Park plans to set up four 220KV transformer substations and twenty-one 35KV substations. Currently there are two 220KV substations(LongDong Substation and Zhang Er Substation)and three 35 KV transformer substations in use.Another 220 KV transformer substation is under construction in the second phase of the Microelectronics Area． Telecommunication There are two bureau houses with a planned installment capacity of 60,000-80,000 lines,one bureau house with installment capacity of 20,000-30,000 lines.A telephone interchange center with 60,000line has been put into operation at the Park providing various telecommunication services including E-postbox,PDS comprehensive line layout,special lines for lease,visual telephone,wireless calling,mobile telecommunication,fax,satellite telecommunication,data telecommunication.There's a network of fiber built within the Park for use by introduced enterprises. Steam An integrated thermoelectric supply system has been constructed in the Park hi-tech industrial zone with an average output of 30 tons per hour.The maximum output is 60 tons per hour.The outlet pressure is 1.6 Mpa and the temperature 250 degrees centigrade.Another thermoelectric system has an average output of 40 tons per hour,with outlet pressure of 2.5 Mpa and temperature of 400 degrees centigrade.The Park is building a new system to meet the specific demands of the microelectronics industry. Rain water drainage 8 rain water drainage system have been planned at the Park,and at present three pumping stations and complete water drainage systems have been completed.The drainage capacity of the stations is 44.04m3 per second. Sewage water drainage The Park has two pumping stations with a maximum drainage capacity of 2.504L/S and an average drainage capacity of 1,926L/S(i.e.drainage capacity of 166,406m3 per day).Wastewater from the Park is pumped to the southern area of Pudong New Area for treatment.The enterprises within the Park which drain the waste water should apply the Shanghai Municipal Comprehensive Standard for Wastewater Disposal(DB31/199-1997)according to the requirement on the control of totaI amount. Gas The natural gas pipeline in the Park has been linked with the Pudong New Area backbone network.The transformation pressure is 0.6~1.5 Mpa,and the distribution pressure 0.2~0.4 Mpa,depending on customer specifications 6.Plants Various kinds of premises have been built at the Park such as incubator buildings,R&D buildings,standards plants and office buildings.The present properties can be leased or purchased.If the customers have special requirements,the Park may provide tailored service. 7.Resident Enterprises By the end of 2006,there are 4862 enterprises registered in the Park,it has introduced totally 4297 new enterprises,among which 1981 are enterprises with foreign investment.The total amount of the attracted foreign investment is USD 16.291 billion and the fixed asset investment reaches RMB 81.905 billion.In 2006,the Park has realized a gross business revenue of about RMB 53.183 billion,a taxation revenue of RMB 3.964 billion,a gross industry output of RMB 30.263 billion and a total value of exports delivered of RMB 17.915 billion. 91 R&D centers of various types have been attracted with 4,032 items of patent application. 8.Contact Shanghai Zhangjiang(Group)Co.,Ltd.
