1.Brief Introduction Shanghai Minhang Economic and Technological Development Zone("Minhang Development Zone"for short)was set up in 1983 and is one of the first 2 state-level development zones in Shanghai.In 1986,it was approved as the state-level economic and technological development zone by China State Council.At present,its total area is 3.5 square kilometers,which is the smallest among the state-level economic and technological development zones. In February of 2006,with the approval of the State Council,Minhang Development Zone was successfully expanded in Lingang with a planned area of 13.3 square kilometers for the key development of modern equipment industry and advanced manufacturing industry. 2.Location Advantages Transportation of Passengers:Transportation for passengers is very convenient;there is direct connection with several express ways between Minhang Development Zone and Shanghai downtown,subways are extended to Xinzhuang of Minhang;public transportation connects Minhang Development Zone with Xinzhuang and Shanghai downtown,and the Xinzhuang light railway station is under construction. (2)Supply Voltage For low-voltage supply,the three phase of is 380V,single-phase is 220V; high-voltage supply is 1OKV.For the large power consumers,the voltage of supply is 35KV.The frequency of supply is 50HZ.Two distribution substations with respective voltage of 110KV and 35KV and 6 distribution substations with voltage of 10KV have been set up in the development zone. (6)Drainage and capacity There are 54 rain water pipes with a total length of 41.9 KM,6 rain water pumping station with 20 installments and a drainage capacity of 21.16m3 per second.The waste water drained per 10000RMB production value in the development zone is less than 10 percent of the average emission level in Shanghai. (7)Ecological environment Afforestation area is 108.18 m2;afforestation coverage ratio is 30.9%.
