President of World Bank Zoellick said that Chinese economy was expected to maintain rapid growth continuously, which was very important to the current world economy. In response to reporter of Xinhua News Agency, Zoellick said that the last two months, turbulence was shown in the international financial market, which made the world economy decline
inevitably and also affected Chinese economy. But he stressed that China's current account and fiscal projects were just in soundness and Chinese economy would continue to maintain a rapid growth. Zoellick pointed out that the Chinese economy had maintained a steady and rapid growth, which was a major contribution to the world economy. Lin Yifu, the senior vice president and chief economist of the World Bank, stated a similar point of view in a special interview of Xinhua News Agency.
According to the report World Economic Outlook of International Monetary Fund, Chinese economic growth this year and next year will slow down in some extent, but still is expected to reach 9.7% and 9.3%, being prominent in the major economic bodies of the world. The report shows that by the steady growth of investment and promotion of consumed expansion Chinese economy will continue to maintain the vitality.
