China Grants Duty-free Treatment to East Timor and Other Two Countries in Their Exports

It is known from China Customs that the State Council approved duty-free treatment to the Democratic Republic of East Timor, Union of Comoros and the Democratic Republic of the Congo in part of their exports to China since Oct. 1.


According to the announcement of China Customs, the imports of 290 products originating in East Timor and 258 products originating in the Comoros and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) under the 8-bit tax items are grated the duty-free treatment ex-gratia.


The principle of Department of Foreign Aid in Chinese Ministry of Commerce introduced on September 19 that China had decided to give duty-free treatment to 42 less developing countries who established diplomatic relations with China and by now it had been actually implemented in 39 countries.
