Minister of Commerce Chen Deming said on September 24 that China’s economy will maintain a stable and reasonable growth rate in the second half of this year. Chen Deming made the above statements in the press conference after the 7th Economic and Trade Ministerial Meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
Chen Deming frankly pointed out that influenced by the current international economic situation and China’s own economic characteristics, China started to face the problems of rapid inflation and reduced increasing rate in export growth to developed countries like United States and European countries.
But he also said that on comprehensive analyzing, China’s total export growth was still increased, which was basically in a good economy situation; financial market was relatively stable, with prices in a controllable range and a dropping trend month by month. According to the data of National Bureau of Statistics, China’s consumer price index (CPI) in August rose 4.9% year-on-year, showing the fourth consecutive fall in increasing rate and the lowest point in recent 14 months.
