International Sourcing Fair 2008 (Shanghai China) will be held from September 23 to 25 in Shanghai.

The Fair will realize the paradigm shift from the single overseas purchasing and domestic supply to bilaterally domestic and foreign reciprocal purchasing, continuously based on the principle of simultaneous development of import and export trade. The Fair will establish the branch meeting place in Jiading Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center besides the establishment of main meeting place in Shanghai World Trade Mart, with more than 2300 purchasing varieties of commercial products and consumer goods of 12 categories converged. It was estimated that purchasing amount of foreign businessmen from the year 2008 to 2009 in China will stand at USD20b through the platform of the Fair.

This year’s transnational sourcing fair will newly set up purchasing special zones and exhibition areas of auto parts, service trade and post-disaster reconstruction, and the earthquake-affected provinces and cities will release the purchasing information concerning reconstruction-demanded medical appliance, mobile homes, building materials and production equipment.
