Based on Financial Times (www.ftchinese.com) on August 19, the latest report released by the professional service company, Ernst & Young, indicated that among the rankings of the most attractive places of renewable energy sources, China has replaced UK, ranking 4th in the world while UK ranks 6th with US and Germany standing in the first and second position.
The report pointed out that rise of China’s ranking to some extent benefits from the policy of renewable energy sources, with the goal of raising non-coal energy to 15% by 2020. Chinese government attaches importance to the infrastructures, which intensifies China’s attraction to investors.
The International Energy Agency once predicted that China’s wind power generation capacity will reach 5 million Kilowatts by 2010. However, the goal was reached three years ago. The report predicted that the goal that China wind power generation capacity will reach 30 million kilowatts by 2020 will also be reached in advance. |
