Michael Charlton, CEO of UK Think London expressed before he started off to watch Bejing Olympic Games on August 5 that he would make use of the rare opportunity of going to Beijing to watch the Olympic Games to seek for Olympic business opportunities to hunt for “money-earning ways” for London Olympic Games four years later.
Charlton said while having an interview with the reporter from Xinhua News Agency that UK Think London is the special agency of promoting the overseas to directly invest in UK. Beijing Huajiang Culture Development Co., Ltd specializing in making memorial badges for Beijing Olympic Games signed the agreement of providing memorial badges for London Olympic Games in four years with London relevant parties under the coordination of Think London. He said UK Think London will utilize the opportunity of Beijing hosting the Olympic Games to conduct a 3-month investment promotion activity in 11 Chinese cities including Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Charlton has visited China 30 times since 1985. He said landmark buildings such as Bird’s Nest, Water Cube and CCTV New Site had greatly changed the scenery of Beijing. He believed that after 9 months if he visits Beijing again, there must be many more pleasant surprises.
