According to statistics, Shanghai newly approved 1527 foreign investment projects of the tertiary industry in the first half of the year with attracted contractual foreign capital of USD6.158b, significantly up by 53.9% year-on-year. The percentage of contractual foreign capital attracted by the tertiary industry reached nearly 3/4 of the city’s total from the same period, which hits a record high in its history.
In the first half of the year, contractual foreign capital attracted by the whole city stood at USD 8.299b with actual foreign capital in position of USD5.033b, up by 22.3% and 17% year-on-year respectively. As of the end of June, foreign capital projects of investment settlement in Shanghai accumulatively reached 50527 with attracted contractual foreign investment of USD137.703b and foreign capital in position of USD79.716b.
