On June 25, U. S. Aetna Group Corporation, the leading company of international health security industry, announced the establishment of representative office in Shanghai. This is the first step for Aetna entering into the Chinese market, and also the preparation for their applications for insurance operating license in China two years later.
The international business of Aetna Group is mainly serving high-end foreign personnel. The global security department of Aetna Group is providing comprehensive health security services to more than 100 countries (including China) and more than 325,000 dispatched personnel and local executives at present.
Ms. Tan Pu, the international business president of Aetna Group, said that they believed depending on its profound understanding of the domestic market and international standards, Aetna would provide a full range of health security services to the multinational enterprises of Far East market and Chinese local companies.
