The 4th Sino-US Strategic Economic Dialogue closed on June 18 in Annapolis, Maryland of US. Vice Premier Wang Qishan, Chairman Hu Jintao’s special representative, said in the closing ceremony that in the process of dialogue, both sides stressed free trade and investment facilitation principle, committed to improving the investment environment, and agreed to start formal bilateral investment protection agreement negotiations.
Wang Qishan said that China and the United States furthered the discussion around the 4th Sino-US strategic economic dialogue on the themes and topics, thus enhancing mutual understanding and strategic trust, and achieved good results.
