The Shanghai Association of Enterprises with foreign investment and the foreign-invested enterprise associations of 19 districts and counties are non-profitable organizations formed jointly by foreign-invested enterprises, enterprises with investment from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao and other organizations concerned with the approval of Shanghai Municipal Government, and at present, have over 10,000 members, accounting for 45% of all the foreign-invested enterprises located in Shanghai. The associations provide their members with services covering information, training, exhibitions, consulting, law, human resources, etc., and build platforms for dialogues and exchanges between the enterprises and the government, making known complaints and requirements of the enterprises and safeguarding their legitimate rights.
