Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board
The Shanghai Foreign Investment Development Board is a municipal level organization established by the Shanghai People’s Government to develop investment related activities, and help attract foreign investment. It is under the jursidiction of the Shanghai Foreign Economic & Trade Relations Commission (Shanghai Foreign Investment Commission). It’s main responsibilities are: to assist in setting the city’s overall investment orientation and drafting related policies; to compile, publish, and distribute materials related to foreign investment; to assist Shanghai’s other investment services organizations develop foreign investment programs; and to establish and manage the Shanghai’s investment promtion agencies abroad.
