Shanghai DB Tel Industrial Co. Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “Shanghai DB Tel” for short), founded in 1993, is a major membership of Taiwan Daba Group. After several investment increasing, now the registered capital reaches $30,050,000 dollars, total investment $90,150,000 dollars. Mainly dealing with mobile phone research and development, producing and distribution, the Company is authorized by National Development &Reform Commission as major mobile phone producer, and is one of the largest bases for mobile phone production. Taiwan Daba Group, parent company of Shanghai DB Tel, was founded in 1979, and has been dedicated to business in terminal end of communications since the very beginning and is the forerunner in that field. Inherited from Daba Group of its technology and expertise in producing terminal-end-products for 20 years, Shanghai DB Tel used to manufacture digital stringless telephone and common electrograph. Starting from 1997, it began to produce GSM mobile phones in the form of OEM, and in 2000 began to produce ODM phones, both were exported to other countries. Before founding its own brand, it has an annual production of 10,000,000, all exported, a total exportation of $170,000,000 dollars in return, which stood high among the mobile phone producers in Shanghai. The year 2001 witnessed the first “DB Tel”-branded mobile phone going into market, which set a new milestone for the Company. Relied upon flexible and efficient management and sales strategies, the market share increased from 0% to 4% within 3 years, and the highest monthly sales reached more than 800,000. The harvest came in the year 2003 when annual sales in the domestic market was nearly 5,000,000, sales income RMB 3,800,000,000 Yuan, and profit nearly RMB 200,000,000 Yuan, ranking high among its rivals. The taxes paid to the country in these 3 years proliferated, and 2003 alone the amount was RMB 540,000,000Yuan. The phenomenon of Shanghai DB Tel is mainly attributed to its enterprising spirit. Staffed with high-gauge talents The Company is staffed with nearly 10,000 talents. Before the founding of the brand, skilled worker was the backbone. As to the newly-recruited workers, lacking in experience in manufacturing terminal-end products, the Company provided full-time training for them, which ensured their grasping the skill within a short time period. Network construction ensures steady development Besides gaining experience and technology, Taiwan Daba Group has been devoted to constructing global sales and stock network. Since founding, Shanghai DB Tel has benefited from the fame of the Group and the convenience brought about by the network. Since 1997, Shanghai DB Tel has exported to advanced European market with their qualified products. Although chips in mobile phones are monopolized by some multi-national companies, Shanghai DB Tel is able to acquire whole set components. Meanwhile, other material’s stock price is more competitive than others. Efficient manufacture and material stock result in the Company’s costs advantage. After opening the domestic market, Shanghai DB Tel has set up 27 sales and after-purchase service networks, mainly subsidiary companies. Through the networks, DB Tel mobile phones are able to reach over 20,000 retailers all over the country, which improves efficiency. Nearly 600 after-purchase services are guarantee to customers, which is acknowledged by China Customer’s Association. Recently, overseas market is stressed, and products have been exported to Southeast Asia, India, Australia, Middle-east and Europe. DB Tel is going international.
