The Bund

Lujiazui Finance & Trade Zone of Pudong New Area

Pudong New Area lies to the east of Huangpu River and to the west south of Yangtse River. The area is about 523 sq. km, and the population is 1,600,000. Built in October 1^st 1994, the Oriental Pearl Radio & TV Tower is 468 meters high and consist of 3 posts of 9-meter diameter, tower pedestal, lower sphere, and the space capsule. Maglev Train

Maglev train railway extends west from Longyang Road Station of No. 2 Line of Shanghai Subway east to Pudong International Airport; the whole course of the railway is 30 kilometers long; the train goes at a speed of 430 kilometers per hour; 8 minutes will be taken for a one-way course. This maglev railway is the first one in the world to be in motion commercially.
