Manufacturing Services Industry Development Focus

To Expand Services for Major Industries: To expand the city’s automotive industry into two new areas - automotive services and R&D/design; to strengthen the cooperation between the city’s electronics industry and other industries, such as media and communications, and to increase applications to digital technology; to expand the the petrochemical industry into fine chemical industry, while expanding manufacturing and strengthening technological services, creating a chemical industry trade zone; to strengthen the steel industry’s ability to service the automotive, ship building, and equipment manufacturing industries, improve logistics management, and expand customized products and services. 

 

To Accelerate the Development of Key Manufacturing Services Industries: Emphasis will be on developing the following ten major manfuacturing services industries: R&D services, automotive services, equipment line services, logistics services, design services, procurement services,  shipping services, conference & exihibition services, consulting services, and professional training services.

Ten Urban Industry Design Platforms

In addition, building on the success of advanced manufacturing design, Shanghai will construct ten major design platforms - mold/die design, software design, engineering design, animation design, toy design, printed packaging design, bag design, arts and crafts design, clothing desigh, and ad design – creating a public support platform for small and medium sized enterprises (SME).
